YFF FOR WEDNESDAY – AUGUST 17TH: It’s Looking Rosey!

Today the sky is the limit because there are no clouds blocking this beautiful day. There will be a slight breeze in the afternoon around 10 mph. The high in Los Angeles is 86F and the low is 64F.
Floral prints were huge this spring but for the summer we are going to focus on one type of floral print, the rose. Roses are often thought to be the most beautiful flower so its no surprise that designers are inspired by them this season. Here are a couple of tips to help you pick out the best rose pattern for you.
If you are going to wear a rose skirt or a rose top then pair them with a solid. Try a dark wash jean to go with the top or a solid color blouse to go with the skirt. You don’t want to wear a rose pattern with another floral pattern…you want to be inspired by the garden not look like one.

Since color is big right now buy an item with a rose print that has a colorful bouquet. It’s a great way to add some cheer into your closet.
If you’re petite and looking for a rose print dress then consider one with a small rose pattern all over. This way the print doesn’t overwhelm you. If you want something with large roses then try and keep the roses either at the top or bottom of the dress. Breaking up the print will keep you from being overpowered.
